What is the aim of all thought? To arrive at the answer of all questions. Of course important questions first. When the fan in the living room did not move, the author was paling, because it is quite hot. So it turned out, that the question was, “how to fix the fan?” and the answer was, “well, the capacitor needs to change”... Realizing, that a capacitor working fine makes a lot of difference is something that I am slowly learning to understand. So many things we take for granted and a capacitor can make all the difference.
Bertrand Russell was a very famous educationist and logician. Yet when asked to comment on God he opined that such a thesis is unnecessary. Now, what does education, logic and God have in common. Well, the author is fond of saying that God is the biggest Universal constant... of the magnitude of infinity... and all one’s training in education and logic ought to encourage one to put faith in, or maybe even understand that infinite being. Yet as life would have it, science does not compel us to honestly acknowledge God. In fact very often it has been seen that many a scholar is proposing, doing away with the need for spiritual education.
Now spirituality and morality go hand in hand. They are both the means and the ends. They both need each other. Just as mathematics and physics are dependent on each other. Many have opined that physics needs mathematics, but mathematics does not need physics. Yet no one would need mathematics, if the world of physics did not need it. All the neat tricks regarding how problems are solved would be of little use if problems in physics did not imperatively call upon mathematical genius to solve the problems.
Unfortunately great advances in both mathematics and physics led many to conjecture that now we are all doing so well that we need not look above to pray. Life will make sense if only we can make and consume gadgets and pills. And yet a hundred years of gadgets and pills have come and gone, and many people feel uncomfortable because so have hot and cold wars, terrorism, HIV, COVID etc. The author has himself seen, how COVID brought to a standstill, this world as we are used to seeing. Shops closed, so did all places where people congregate (even temples). We had to all wear masks if we were to go out of our houses. People were fighting over oxygen cylinders and hospital beds. Paying great prices. If the fare for an autorickshaw to go from point A to point B would be a hundred rupees on ordinary days, there were instances where such a journey would cost even seven thousand rupees or so. Many people died within days and many more suffered. People all over the world prayed for one more chance to live and let live. Yet as the pandemic receded, crime, terrorism and atheism took over, one more time.
As normal life gets back on its feet, death goes about taking its toll in other ways. Many say, that we do not really know who suffered more, those putting faith in God or those putting faith in the standards of science. And now that COVID has come and gone we will never really know. As soon as the pandemic recedes we are back to the slurry and the grind.
So what motivates atheism ? Maybe quantum theory. In my opinion, it is just a few theories that hold together the edifice or altar of scientific atheism. So maybe we are left with no choice but to learn quantum theory and other such theories to investigate exactly how profound is the bleak man’s bread.
There is no choice. The religionist will go on praying in his own way and the scientist will be assiduously debunking all prayer in his own methodical way. One can cherish the good life... eating and drinking and sex, that is one thing. But if one methodically defeats the need to turn to prayer, that is quite another. So, since there is no other option, we have to delve into atheistic magnetism, to see what gives the followers of Marconi the audacity and propensity to discount faith. Can a magnet (however big) replace God? There is a most insidious charge against faith. That men and women of faith are not profound, that they are gullible and weak. That they are praying when it is time for action. What effect can silent mutterings have on the events of this world? They are mutt errors..., those who mutter.
Atheistic magnetism and atheistic capacitance and atheistic inductance have shaken this world so bad, that long time followers of the scriptures fail to choose God over the magnet and the capacitor and the coil. What is a mobile but a collection of transistors and capacitors and ... most of it is just wiring done in a very clever way. But the way we clutch at the phone for hours, it would seem that it had a soul. So, clever wiring holds sway over my heart and therefore this wiring..., I have to know, there is no other way. Am I going to change the world and rewire everyone’s heart? Not in the least. I have wanted to talk of God, thus that is all I am doing. The result is not in my hand. But if I donot try even my maker will spurn me. Because I can warn you, He is the greatest mechanic.
So exactly what is quantum theory? It seems that matter at the microscopic level behaves rather oddly. Particles, oddly enough... behave like waves, and waves oddly enough behave like particles. Thus it has been asserted that all matter and energy behave sometimes like a particle and sometimes as a wave. Every object, however big or small has affiliated with it, something known as a wave function. So I the author have associated with myself, a wave function. Now I am in no mood to fly as though I were a wave. Yet all the particles in my body (the electrons and protons and neutrons ) behave in different circumstances as waves as they move about within me. And all energy waves within my body behave also as particles. Of course the waves could be massless as in the case of say gamma waves. And since energy and mass are interchangeable (E = mc^2), having energy implies having mass and vice versa. For example my body is basically a lot of mass (and a little energy), but at the same time if the nuclear material in my body underwent fission or fusion I could generate a lot of energy. So basically my body is a summary of all the atomic particles which all have measurable wavelengths, and yet all the individual wave amplitudes (of the atomic particles) cancel each other and therefore I am quite static. However if you consider water flowing in a river, you can see that the wave amplitudes of the individual subatomic particles have not cancelled out entirely which is why the water is very much a-flowing. If I walk you can say that the individual wave amplitudes have resulted in a wave motion of a certain kind as a result of which I am moving linearly. That is that I am moving my hands and legs and my whole bodily frame is moving in an approximate straight line. That means that all the individual waves have summed themselves up to yield a summary wave motion. It is not just one wave that you see in me, but a summary of billions of tiny waves all being added vectorially. All these waves can be added vectorially and then you will see that my kind of peculiar motion is what will be arrived at.
If instead of me, you notice a macroscopic wave (like say large amplitude infrared waves), know that the wave will have a relativistic mass and will behave like particles. You can see light waves act as photons and knock off individual electrons from a metal surface, which means that some kind of impact is being made by something tangible and that is due to the particle nature of the wave. Physicists have always loved symmetry and when they saw waves behaving like particles, they quickly concluded that particles also behaved like waves. They keep carrying a bible which insists that life is symmetric. They cannot bear to live without symmetry. They sometimes have, but they did not feel like prolonging it too much. If waves behaved like particles, so must particles behave like waves. Even scientific materialism sought to do away with inequalities like slavery. Even atheists tried to reinstate the symmetry of this world. I have to accept that scientific materialism also tried to confer human dignity and other benefits to the weaker sections of society. God so desired that He made all man equal and so the fate of even inanimate matter was sealed by laws of symmetry.
Now the wave function can be a complex number. I.E it does not reflect physical reality. However one can calculate other properties like momentum and energy, using the wave function. One can also calculate the probability of finding a particle at a particular point in space. Maybe, if I read more books on quantum theory I could change my mind. But this is the result of the readings thus far. Some people are of the opinion that the wave function does not represent a genuine physical wave, and some do insist that the wave function is the actual wave that the particle turns into every now and then. Since I am not an expert, I do not know. All physical theories are tentative and thus let us not cavil over that which we may not be sure of. What I am trying to arrive at essentially is that even if matter does behave in a dualistic way, sometimes as a particle and sometimes as a wave, it still does not mean that we can become atheistic. The Schroidinger’s equation is still following the laws of being an equation. That means we have a left hand side and we have a right hand side. Each is equal to the other. This format of the equation is so fundamental to life. Without something coming from somewhere it is not going anywhere. Thus the grand new theory just says so much. It doesn’t explain how the singularity got set up in the first place. It doesn’t explain what compressed all of universal matter, energy, space and even time...... down to a single point. And it never can. That much confidence I can certainly exhibit. No one sees matter getting compressed down to the limits that the big bang theorists claim..., and how did all the matter, energy, space and time arrive in the first place. The singularity was so potent for activity... how did it get there.
They talk of quantum field theory..., and immediately you think, that there is by default..., a field of energy provided by quantum field theory itself, from which, you can get all the other things. But quantum theory is not coming with a whole field of energy. The theory as such doesn’t provide anything by default. Quantum physicists are some of the hardest working people out there, ... why do they work if the quantum field can provide everything. Quantum theory is just the derivations based on some faith in the wave particle duality. One can say that one does see the wave particle duality in an empirical sense, but one cannot say that one sees an entire Universe rolled up into a point, which is so mystical that within that point is all space and all time all set to get going. One cannot get away without explaining the origin of four things.... matter, energy, space and time... and one more, ORDER. How was the initial state of the Universe so spectacularly ordered. So there is ten to the power fifty three kilograms of mass (the mass of the Universe), a whole lot of energy, a lot of space and a lot of time and plenty of ordering of it all, to demand the existence of a Creator. Someone got it all together... when no one was around to help.
The reason creationism talks about a God so confidently is because these five existences have never been explained by any atheist satisfactorily. They just wave their hands and say something like, “Give me the initial singularity and I will give you all the answers to life’s question”. What a hilarious situation... I am a penniless person and you are asking for Universal matter, energy, space, time and order from me. And having secured it all from me now you want to call me as another one of your witnesses. Let us all hold hands and mock God. This is the high point of all physical reasoning. Mr Scientist was crying and quantum theory came and said that it will solve all problems. Only if it could.
In essence I have tried to understand quantum theory. I am no expert. Yet I have the audacity to say that all the mass, energy, space, time and the concomitant orderly state of the early Universe cannot be explained without referring to a Creator. There is no way that the singularity can be avoided, nor can the properties be changed. There is no way one can perform the sleight of hand to account for all of creation. At least ten to the power fifty three kilograms of mass, to account for the mass of this Universe. And if there are more Universes, then that many more times mass has to be accounted for. You cannot manufacture out of nothing, even a grain of sand. It has not been done in any laboratory up to this day. So many tall claims are made by the atheistic scientists, yet when they are asked to produce a pebble out of the vacuum, in the laboratory, they are failing. Yet they claim to know how millions of Universes came out of nowhere. It does not make any sense. I will repeat... mass, energy, space, time and the highly ordered initial state, all coiled up into a point.... by whom or what? That is the question. Please take your time and answer.
